the skydive and other bits

The jump.

Wow, it's been a busy couple of weeks. the jump day came and went, what a day it was, even from the moment I woke up that day the excitement was massive.

Arriving at Skydive Langar and booking in was fun, the staff on the desk explained the day and told me I'd get a call when it was time to go and get the briefing, the brief was a great build-up to the main event.

After a while the call came for me to go and suit-up, WOW the flight suit was tight, haha. Had a chat with my instructor (what a nice person), met the videographer as well, then it was time to get on the plane.

Sat heading up to 10,000ft I couldn't stop smiling, honestly, the excitement was massive. once at altitude the door was opened and we shuffled across, sat on the edge of the plane, looking down was incredible, as soon as we jumped the sound was loud, but the whole thing at that point felt unbelievable, the smile just wouldn't go away. My cheeks flapping around was making me want to laugh, haha. after 30 seconds or so the parachute opened, and that brought silence... really it was just pure, peace. Had a chat and also got chance to fly the 'chute for a short time (with full guidance), the landing was seriously soft.

All in all, it was the most fantastic experience and better that... raised £600 for the #MSsociety.

Massive opportunity

On top of that, after the 4 columns I'd done for MS News Today in the build-up, I've been give a job with them as a columnist. So proud, honoured and grateful for the opportunity.

Current back issue

I've also been dealing with an issue with my lower back, I've been aware of an issue with a degenerate, herniated disk since an MRI that was done 2 years ago, and it's that area causing an issue. Reporting it to the Doctors had the reply of, no new MRI, just let them know if it gets any worse...

New mobility scooter

After a year of brilliant support from Eleanor, the consistent up and down hills has caused the motor to wear out. Speaking to a local shop with very knowledgeable staff (very nice people as well), it was advised that an 8mph machine would be needed. So, I had no choice but to part with my good friend and move on, I'm now thinking of a name for the new one... Sonic and Shelby are the front runners, so far.

Sorry it's been a couple of weeks since my last update, as you can see, things have been very busy.

I'll be back to normal very soon.

THANK YOU ALL, SO MUCH FOR THE SUPPORT. IT HAS BEEN MASSIVELY APPRECIATED 🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡
